Mini Kids Summer Dash Top - Free Crochet Pattern

Mini Kids Summer Dash Top - Crochet Pattern

Materials and Tools:

> Darning Needle - To weave in ends

Finished Measurements Approx:

> Toddler 1-2 years

> Width body 14”
> Circumference 28”
> Length 15”

Gauge:

> 12.36 dc and 7 rows = 4 inches (10cm)
> 6.18 dc = 2 inches
Pattern
Make 2:

R1. Ch52, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in next ch * Ch2, skip next 2 chains, 1dc in next 5 chains * Repeat across ending with 1dc in last 3 chains, turn

R2-R23. Ch3 (counts as 1dc from here and throughout) 1dc in next 2dc * Ch2, skip ch2 space, 1dc in next 5dc * Repeat across ending with 1dc in last 2dc, 1dc in top of turning ch, turn


Do not fasten off.

First Shoulder:

R24. Ch3, 1dc in next 2dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in next 5dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in next 2dc, turn

R25. Ch3, 1dc in next dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in next 5dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in last 2dc, 1dc in top of turning ch

Fasten off and weave in ends.


Second Shoulder:

R24. Locate the last st of row 24 of first shoulder and skip next 16dc stitches, skip the ch2 spaces in between, join yarn in next st, ch1 (does not count as a stitch) 1dc in same st, 1dc in next dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in next 5dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in last 2dc, 1dc in top of turning ch, turn

R25. Ch3, 1dc in next 2dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in next 5dc, ch2, skip next ch2 space, 1dc in next 2dc

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Joining:

> Lay both pieces flat on top of each other with wrong sides facing outwards.

> Seam up both shoulders using needle and yarn. Fasten off and weave in ends.

> To seam sides together, use needle and yarn, leaving the top 8 rows unworked for armholes, seam downwards on both sides ( I used the mattress stitch to give more of a seamless finish )

Fasten off and weave in ends.



Neck:

R1. Join yarn to any corner stitch on neck, ch1 (does not count as a stitch) 1sc in same st, work 63sc evenly around neck, join with a slip stitch to beg sc (64sc)

R2. Ch1 (does not count as a stitch) 1sc in each st around, join with a slip stitch to beg sc (64sc)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Arms:

R1. With top right side facing, join yarn to bottom of arm hole, Ch1 (does not count as a stitch) 1dc in same space, work 33dc evenly around arm hole opening, join with a slip to beg dc (34dc)

R2. Ch2 (counts as 1dc) 1dc in each st around, join with a slip stitch to beg dc (34dc)

R3. Ch1 (does not count as a stitch) Loosely slip stitch in each st around, join with a slip stitch to beg st (34sts)

Fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat on other arm.
