Super Chunky Collar Pattern - Free Crochet Pattern

Hello, you may have noticed i have taken some time off writing on this blog, but I am back.. YAY! Let's jump straight into today's free crochet pattern, this a super chunky collar pattern, i love collars, i feel like sometimes you just need to jazz up a plain sweater or tee and then when you add a collar to it, it just makes it look completely different and that's what i love!

I used some spare yarn i had lying around from a different project which was the Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick for this pattern in the colour Barley with a large crochet hook it turned out super easy to make and will probably take you less than an hour and now the holidays are very close why not make these up for your girl friends and family = Result!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Darning Needle - To weave in ends

GAUGE:
9dc and 4.5 rows = 4” / 10cm

SIZE:

Adult: 29” Circumference (Approx)

Pattern
R1. Ch58, join with a slip stitch to beg ch to form a ring, ch1 (does not count as a stitch) 1sc in next ch and in each ch around, 1sc in same st as ch1, join with a slip stitch to beg sc (58sc)
R2. Ch2 (counts as 1dc) 1dc in same st as ch2, ch2, 2dc in same st as ch2 * Skip next 3sts, work (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next st * Repeat around, skip last sc, join with a slip stitch to beg dc (15 groups of (2dc, ch2, 2dc)
R3. Slip stitch into first ch2 space, ch2 (counts as 1dc) 5dc in same space, work 6dc in each ch2 space around, join with a slip stitch to beg dc (15 groups of 6dc)
Fasten off and weave in ends, add a button to collar and secure.
